Job Title: Strategic/Senior Buyer

Overview:

The Senior Buyer is responsible for all Strategic and Tactical Supply Chain Activity. This individual works with all levels of client personnel and management related to strategic sourcing and procurement activities.

Job Duties:
  • Review project, maintenance, repair and operating material needs. Analyze current database to review expense categories.
  • Develop business cases that effectively leverage client spend commodity and lower all business cost. This includes meeting with all client company personnel and management to present business case scenarios.
  • Review client’s existing supplier agreements, noting areas of improvement needed in total costs.
  • Be prepared to defend business cases and "roll out" various scenarios for client. This would include making presentations at all levels of management.
  • Prepare strategic reports and update both company management and end users on progress of business plans and opportunities to lower procurement cost.
  • Coordinate the preparation of purchase orders and supplements to formalize purchasing agreement. Insure agreements are complete, suitable, fully documented and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist expeditors, logistics, and accounting personnel in resolving supplier problems.
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers, and evaluate supplier performance.
 

Job Title: Tactical/Junior Buyer

Overview:

The Junior Buyer ensures the timely procurement of all equipment, materials, and services as required by internal and external customers. The buyer understands the basics of the supply chain, interfaces with suppliers, and understands basic logistical movements. The buyer is generally capable of certain non-strategic supply chain functions.

Job Duties:

  • Place orders on supplier base using lowest overall cost. Directs "Request for Proposals" and generates analysis for procurement management review as needed.
  • Review the supplier base and optimize company spending.
  • Review and understand supplier agreements, noting areas of improvement for clients in relation to total life cycle costs.
 

Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Overview:

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for all specific activities associated with planning and processing domestic and international movement of equipment and materials in an efficient and timely manner.

Job Duties:

  • Pre-qualify freight forwarder service companies
  • Prepare freight forwarding services surveys
  • Prepare jobsite surveys
  • Prepare port surveys
  • Prepare custom house surveys
  • Plan delivery scheduling for shipments
  • Track shipments
  • Process customer acknowledgment of shipping receipts
  • Produce status reports for shipments
 
Job Title: Materials/Inventory Manager

Overview:

The Materials Manager is responsible for reducing on-hand inventory to the lowest feasible levels consistent with customer service and quality objectives and manage all materials functions required for support of operations.

Job Duties:
  • Plans, directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in purchasing and distributing, planning and scheduling.
  • Manages inventory of materials, parts, and finished product.
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains purchasing systems and procedures.
  • Directs maintenance of inventory records, replenishment of stock, and planning for future requirements based on orders, production schedules and forecasts.
  • Troubleshoots materials availability problems.
  • Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future availability.
 

Job Title: Expediter

Overview:

The Expediter is responsible for the timely follow-up and tracking of all equipment and materials in the supply chain. As support within the Procurement function, the expeditor must be highly organized and able to interface with key suppliers. A basic understanding of the supply chain is useful.

Job Duties:

  • Review outstanding orders and follow-up as necessary to ensure that equipment and materials are shipped and received in a timely manner.
  • Interface with various business end users to define timing requirements for critical goods and services.
  • Prepare reports for Supply Chain Manager and other internal customers as required.
 

Job Title: Junior Contract Administrator

Overview:

Have ability in writing and reviewing contract and also would be required to represent the company in negotiation the contract.

Job Duties:

  • Prepares bids, process specifications, test and progress reports, and other exhibits that may be required.
  • Reviews bids from other firms for conformity to contract requirements and determines acceptable bids.
  • Advises planning and production departments of contractual rights and obligations.
  • May compile data for preparing estimates
 

Job Title: Senior Contract Administrator

Overview:

To administer all contracts matters, including: preparation of plans, strategies, requisitions and Contracts Board Submissions for contracts to be implemented. To provide the activity reports in accordance with the company standards and procedures.

Job Duties:

  • Performs analytical skills and judgment to support appropriate contract interpretation, buying decisions and cost reductions processes.
  • Directs activities concerned with contracts for purchase or sale of equipment, materials, products, or services.
  • Examines performance requirements, delivery schedules, and estimates of costs of material, equipment, and production to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Solicits bids to procure a variety of required goods and services and negotiates and administers contracts
 

Job Title: Supply Chain Consultant

Overview:

The Consultant is responsible for analysis, design and implementation of procurement process and organizational design. Works with clients and internal personnel to provide solutions to complex business issues.

Required Performance Metrics:

  • Communication: advanced facilitated leadership skills. Able to effectively communicate across organizational boundaries. Excellent written and visual communication skills.
  • Supervision: directs both internal and client project teams in collaboration with management and leadership teams.
  • Work Products: able to produce defined project deliverables completely within time and expense parameters. Highly developed professional presentation skills.

Job Duties:

  • Complete detailed commodity analysis and development of client focused solutions.
  • Work with client leadership teams to integrate commodity management and purchasing organization design to corporate strategy.
