Expediter

Overview:
The Expediter is responsible for the timely follow-up and tracking of all equipment and materials in the Supply Chain. Acting as a support function within the Procurement function, this individual must be highly organized and able to interface with key suppliers. A basic understanding of the Supply Chain is useful.

Required Performance Metrics:

A) Computer Skills-should be proficient with MS Word, Excel and Access.

B) Communication- good written and verbal skills are required for internal and external customer use.

C) Organizational Skills- should have above average organizational skills and must be able to track equipment materials and services on multiple project basis.

D) Telephone & Writing Skills- must have good telephone and writing skills.

Job Duties

1) Review outstanding orders and follow-up as necessary to ensure that equipment and materials are shipped and received in a timely manner.

2) Interface with various business end users to define timing requirements for critical goods and services.

3) Prepare reports for Supply Chain Manager and other Internal Customers as required.

Education/Experience

1) Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equipment experience and/or 5+ minimum years of value added experience.
