Logistics Technician

Overview:
The person in this position is responsible for all activities associated with processing the movement of all equipment and materials in an efficient and timely manner, both domestic and international.

Required Performance Metrics:

A) Communications- must communicate verbally in a professional manner.
B) Supervision: must be a self starter and work with no supervision
C) Organizational & Planning Activities: Should have an excellent understanding of most supply chain information services hardware and software. Must be knowledgeable of Export and Import procedures.
D) Team Player- must interface with all client organizations and clients and present business case well, and present client management and end users with successful implementation schedules.
E) Performance of Work-must have aptitude for detail, build business cases to make correct decisions, solve problems for client company and produce a quality of work with excellence. All work should be done in the most professional and highest standard.

Job Duties:

1) Implement freight forwarding services surveys
2) Implement jobsite surveys
3) Implement port surveys
4) Implement custom house surveys
5) Schedule delivery for shipments
6) Track shipments
7) Process customer acknowledgment of shipping receipts
8) Report impacts to plan rapidly

Education/Experience:

• Minimum 10-15 years of combined logistic experience, both domestic and international
